Katana is the word for "sword" in the Japanese language. A curved, single-edged sword traditionally used by the samurai. The katana was primarily used for cutting, although it's curvature is generally gentle enough to allow for effective thrusting as well. Though it is intended for use with a two-handed grip, many extant historical Japanese sword arts include at least one or two single-handed techniques. It is traditionally worn edge up.

The kris is a distinctive, asymmetrical dagger indigenous to Malaysia. Both a weapon and spiritual object, kris are often considered to have an essence or presence, with some blades possessing good luck, while others possessing bad.
Functionally, the kris is not a slashing weapon like a bowie knife or other fighting knife, but rather a stabbing instrument. There are many stories of a kris being made especially for killing a specific person.
During your Attack Phase, you may make a three-card Hard Exertion to remove one Standing Defense your opponent has from play. You may not include attacks in your deck that cover more than one grid.

The rapier began to develop around 1500 as the "dress sword". The rapier was a cut-and-thrust civilian weapon for self-defense and the duel. Rapier generally refers to a relatively long-bladed sword characterized by a complex hilt which is constructed to provide protection for the hand wielding it. A typical example would have a relatively long and slender blade of 2.5 centimetres or less in width, 1 meter or more in length and ending in a sharply pointed tip.

The Single-Handed Broadsword is the single handed cruciform sword of the High Middle Ages, in common use between 1000 and 1350 and possibly even down to the 16th century. It is a common weapon in period artwork. The sword was worn by a knight even when not in armor and he would be considered "undressed" for public if he were without it.
If your opponent played a Power Blow last turn, you may play an additional attack during your turn. You take three damage when blocking a Power Blow and 1 damage when Power Blocking a Power Blow.

Xavier has used many swords, suiting his weapon to the situation and has also been known to use more unconventional methods. Ranging from nerve gas to henchman with uzis.
