Caleb Cole has always been a Puritan Isolationist since his birth in 1648 and growing up in a Massachusetts Bay Colony. He suffered his first death by a felled tree in 1687. He was found by Goodman Fletcher which showed him many skills on how to survive in the wilds as well as about the immortals. He tried living in civilization a time or two, but it is not the world for him.

Gaius Septimus was his first teacher as far as the ways of immortality. He remained acting throughout his years and even took on Walter Graham as a student.
