Connor MacLeod was born on January 1, 1518 in Glenfinnan, Scotland near the shores of Loch Shiel. During a battle between the Clan MacLeod and the Clan Fraser in 1536, he faced an evil Immortal referred to as The Kurgan and was dealt what should have been a fatal blow. When Connor did not die, the townspeople (including his family) believed his recovery was the work of witchcraft and threatened to burn him at the stake. In 1541, he met an Immortal named Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez who became Connor's mentor and taught him the way of Immortals and the way of The Game.

You may discard one [E] to ignore the effects of any card played by your opponent that would force you to discard cards from your hand. You may increase or decrease the size of a Hard Exertion made by your opponent by one for every Ally you have in play (to a maximum of three).

Katana is the word for "sword" in the Japanese language. A curved, single-edged sword traditionally used by the samurai. The katana was primarily used for cutting, although its curvature is generally gentle enough to allow for effective thrusting as well. Though it is intended for use with a two-handed grip, many extant historical Japanese sword arts include at least one or two single-handed techniques. It is traditionally worn edge up.

You may attack to areas you just blocked. Your Non-Special Attacks that cover only one grid do one less damage.

He also learned that while many Immortals sought to live their lives without conflict with each other, at least until the Gathering which would trigger when only a few were left, there were some, such as the vicious Kurgan, who did not wish to wait and actively hunted down their fellows to gain their Quickenings. Text
The word "scimitar", known in English since 1548, derived from Medieval French cimeterre (15c.) or directly from Italian scimitarra, of unknown origin. Ottoman Turkish would be the expected source, but no such word has been found there. The probable origin of scimitar is from the Persian shim- or sham-shir (pronounced "shamsher," ultimately from Middle Persian "shafsher" meaning; "lion's Tail", in reference to the sword's curve).

The two-handed Broad Sword was a large sword used in the Medieval period. It was used in the constant clan warfare and border fights with the English from circa 1300 to 1700. The last known battle in which it was considered to have been used in a significant number was the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1689. It was somewhat smaller than other two-handed swords of the era. The two-handed Broad Sword seems to be an offshoot of Early Scottish swords that had a distinctive style.

You may make an additional Exertion during your turn if that Exertion is used for a Power Blow or Power Block. You lose an additional Ability when Exhausting.

Text
The use of the wakizashi is the first written about from the sixteenth century onwards. Originally, the term "wakizashi" was used to mean any sword worn on the side of the main sword. Later, the term was used to denote the group of swords which were shorter than the main sword of the samurai, and as a result, "wakizashi" acquired the meaning of the side sword, because a side sword was shorter than the main sword by its nature.

You may play this Weapon of Choice with another One-Handed Weapon of Choice. You may play Special Attacks from an Exertion. You may not play Power Blows unless they are a Head Shot.
